After transferring to New York City, Mason took on a full-time account management role managing the day-to-day operations of 25 different complex accounts and using his experience to develop strategy for insurance placements and conduct in-depth policy reviews for deficiencies and improvements. Mason then transitioned to an in-house risk manager role, becoming the Director of Risk & Insurance for Brookfield Properties, primarily overseeing their North American Office & Multifamily portfolios. During his tenure at Brookfield Properties, Mason was responsible for risk management practices and insurance programs for all lines of coverage, including master property and liability insurance programs, vendor/tenant contract reviews, and loan agreements.
A graduate of the University of Delaware with a Bachelor of Science degree, Mason has continued his studies within the risk management and insurance field by achieving his Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), Associate in Claims (AIC), and Associate in Insurance (AINS) certifications.
