Elizabeth A. Lowe Esq.
President
After graduating from Suffolk Law School, Elizabeth began her career as a risk management consultant and rapidly became one of the premier real estate insurance consultants in the Northeast. Elizabeth founded Custom House in 2014 and today the firm is one of the largest buyers of insurance in the United States, leveraging its size and experience to benefit all clients.
As a licensed insurance advisor, Elizabeth has advised and provided consulting services to clients, projects and portfolios on an international scale, totaling billions of dollars under management with diverse asset classes ranging from hospitality, retail, residential, development, office to warehouse and storage.
Elizabeth is a member of the Federal and Massachusetts Bar Association and is a licensed insurance advisor (LIA) in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. She enjoys adventures with her husband and son.

Geoffrey J. Miller Esq.
Executive Risk Management Consultant
Geoffrey has deep experience as a policyholder-side insurance coverage attorney, representing real estate, hospitality, construction, and technology companies in disputes with insurance companies. Today, Geoffrey leverages his insurance litigation experience to help his clients maintain the proper insurance and contracts so they can avoid litigation as much as possible.
He provides full service outsourced risk management and consults on real estate acquisitions and divestitures, construction, real estate portfolio master insurance programs, corporate mergers, equity transactions, cyber risk, and representation and warranty issues. Custom House Risk Advisor’s clients benefit from his expertise in complex contract negotiation and drafting, regularly negotiating the insurance and risk management requirements on large municipal ground leases, construction contracts, and loan agreements.
Geoffrey regularly teaches on the subjects of contractual risk transfer, insurance law, and cyber risk for the American Bar Association and on various industry panels. He is married with two children and enjoys trail running, carpentry, audiobooks, and all things technology.

Lisa W. Myrberg
Executive Risk Management Consultant
Lisa started her career in claims management for Amica Mutual Insurance Company, but discovered her passion for corporate risk management, transitioning to deputy risk manager for CW Financial Services, where she was heavily involved in the insurance procurement for the firm’s $16 Billion foreclosed real estate owned (REO) portfolio. Lisa’s experience on both the insurer-side and policyholder-side gives her an unparalleled ability to bring diverse parties to the table and close seemingly impossible deals.
As a licensed insurance advisor for Custom House, Lisa specializes in providing full third-party risk management services to clients who either lack a risk management department or who wish to supplement their existing department. Lisa is also available on a transactional basis, managing the insurance and risk transfer for a real estate acquisitions and construction project from inception to closing, including contract review support, insurance procurement and review, and project management.
Along with decades of experience and multiple certifications, Lisa brings a collaborative style, wide industry knowledge, and unsurpassed technical proficiency to her clients. Lisa lives in Rhode Island with her husband and two children; she is a food and wine enthusiast.

Thomas Hunt
Senior Risk Management Consultant
Tom advises developers, lenders, hospitality, industrial, and residential owners on their risk management and insurance needs. He brings an expert legal approach and lens to contractual review, insurance coverage audits, and risk analysis. Additional experience includes advising private equity real estate clients on large transactions with respect to risk transfer strategy, with a particular focus on construction exposures, lease and loan compliance, and cyber insurance.
Tom completed his under graduate work at Boston University and earned his JD from Suffolk University Law School, graduating magna cum laude and serving as Chief Competitions Editor for the Transnational Law Review. Tom has authored a number of articles and is a sought after speaker to industry groups about cyber risks in the commercial real estate sector. He is a licensed attorney in Massachusetts, the District of Massachusetts (Federal), New York, and Maine. He is also a licensed insurance advisor in Massachusetts, and a Certified Information Privacy Professional for the United States (CIPP-US).

Megan joined the Custom House Risk Advisors team in 2022 to work with clients in the Real Estate and Construction industries. Prior to joining, Megan worked as a Risk Analyst for the commercial real estate company, CBRE. Her previous includes managing global commercial insurance programs, reviewing contracts and leases, quoting and marketing coverage, tracking certificates, and handling policy audits. Samantha Oliveira, Esq.
Senior Risk Management Consultant
Attorney Samantha Oliveira has focused her career on insurance coverage and risk management. In her previous litigation practice, Samantha advocated on behalf of policyholders on issues involving all lines of coverage. One highlight is co-authoring an appellate brief that ultimately led to a policyholder’s favorable decision, which was also a victory for construction industry policyholders in the State of Connecticut. This made property damage to a construction project caused by defective work to be considered an “occurrence” under the law.
At Custom House Risk Advisors, Samantha focuses on providing clients with the most current and practical perspective on the risk management issues they encounter. She leverages her extensive experience in developing and rewriting insurance procurement language to meet the changing demands of the insurance and construction industries. Samantha is admitted to practice law in Connecticut, New York, the US District Court, the District of Connecticut, and the Southern District of New York.

Zachary brings his experience of shared and layered property insurance structures to Custom House Risk Advisors.
